Schalke vs Chelsea Match Preview

The German club welcomes English giants as Chelsea will be looking to wrap up this group with a win tonight. Roberto Di Matteo will face his former club for the first time since taking them to glory in 2012.

An interesting tie is on the cards in the Ruhr as RDM will be up against a master tactician in Jose Mourinho.

Overview

Chelsea head into this tie top of the group and almost have qualified for the next round but they’ll look to seal the deal with a win in Ruhr. Schalke on the other hand have to bring their Champions League campaign back on track after a below par start to the season.

Team News

Both the teams have a full squad to choose from for tonight’s game. Chelsea will be looking to rest a slightly under-fit Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas.

Schalke have no injury concerns or any suspensions.

Probable Lineups

Schalke - Fahrmann, Uchida, Howedes, Neustadter, Fuchs, Hoger, Aogo, Obasi, Boateng, Choupo-Moting, Huntelaar

Chelsea - Cech, Ivanovic, Azpilicueta, Terry, Luis, Fabregas, Matic, Schurrle, Costa, Hazard, Remy
