After a 1-1 draw at Bernabeu, the Rojiblancos look to be on the driver seat for the second leg at Vicente Calderon today. A Raul Garcia equalizer in the 88th minutes makes the game very interesting, after a goal from the World cup star James Rodriguez on his bernabeu debut. Real Madrid star man Cristiano was substituted at half time after a scare, but according to Madrid doctors he’s fit to play the second leg at the Calderon.

Madrid took the lead through a scrappy build up and a finish from the Colombian, his first for the lilly whites, but Real Madrid still have a lot of work to do if they are to clinch the Spanish Super Copa with the score tied at 1-1 after the first leg. With Atleti having the away goal advantage and the game being at Vicente Calderon, the boys in Red and White are expected to clinch the first trophy of this season.

TEAM NEWS:

Atletico may hand club debut to their summer signing Antoine Griezmann, with the Frenchman set to play just behind Mario Mandzukic. Jan Oblak and Arda Turan are still injured.

For Real, Cristiano could start from the bench, after being removed for a precautionary measure. And there are speculations surrounding Angle Di Maria and Sami Khedira, both asking to be left out of the squad after rejecting contract extensions from the club this summer.

Venue: Calderon

Kickoff: 10.30pm Local time
