Arsenal vs Chelsea – Preview

Arsenal will host champions elect Chelsea tomorrow in a gruelling encounter which can add a late twist to this title challenge. Chelsea are looking unstoppable after grinding out a win against Manchester United last week. Meanwhile The Gunners too are buoyed by their good run of form and will be looking to put pressure on the league leaders.

Arsene Wenger will look to open his account against Jose Mourinho as he is yet to win against him in twelve meetings. Mourinho and Wenger’s relationship reached a nadir in the reverse fixture when the Frenchman pushed his Chelsea counterpart.

Team News

Per Mertesacker seems to be a major doubt for tomorrow’s match and Wenger will more likely hand a start to Brazilian youngster Gabriel Paulista. The Brazilian started against Reading in their FA Cup semifinal win last weekend. Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are definitely out with injuries.

Diego Costa is likely to return to the starting lineup after missing two weeks with a hamstring injury. But he is still a doubt for the trip to Emirates and it looks more likely that Didier Drogba will once again start against his favourite opponents. Kurt Zouma can start in midfield after impressing with his performance against Manchester United.

Probable Lineups

Arsenal:

Ospina, Bellerin, Koscielny, Gabriel, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud

Chelsea:

Courtois, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Matic, Willian, Fabregas, Hazard, Drogba

TFM predicts a 1-1 draw.
